What this position is all about:
Cellarity is looking for an initiative-taking program manager to join a very innovative and dynamic group of scientists to support multiple activities in early-stage drug development programs. This individual will be responsible for building project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, aligning cross-functional teams towards common objectives, and developing communications strategies within the company. This is a highly visible role that will be responsible for partnering with multiple functional and program teams to ensure clear communication both within the team and with Sr. management. The ideal candidate will have experience in early discovery drug development, including activities leading to IND filing, have a science background, and understand dynamics of working in a matrix system.
What you would be responsible for:
Drug development programs:
- Partner with Program Leadership to establish program strategy and associated program plans.
- Responsible for creating execution strategies for the operational objectives, including timelines/milestones, and deliverables.
- Partner with Program Lead to develop acceleration opportunities for various milestones, risk/benefit assessments, and risk mitigation plans.
- Work with CROs to establish work plans, timelines, and tracking their deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create a sense of urgency; proactively identify potential future challenges for the program and look for solutions.
- Develop communication strategies and present the progress to senior management.
- Create and track programs budget.
Additional activities:
- Support alliance collaborations as needed.
What experiences we are looking for:
- S. in Biological/Chemical Sciences, or relative science. Advanced degree (Ph.D. or MBA) desirable.
- 4-6 years’ experience with scientific operations and/or portfolio/program management experience in biotech/pharma industry.
- Extensive R&D experience in pharma/biotech industry.
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary/matrix environment.
- Knowledge of early drug discovery process through IND.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with time management/tracking, using timeline management programs (Excel, Smartsheet, ThinkCell etc.).
