  • 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in VDC/BIM, with prior leadership or management experience.
  • Proficiency with BIM authoring and coordination tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent, and with model-based estimating, visualization, and reality-capture workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a VDC/BIM function, including team development and process standardization.
  • A strong track record partnering with Business Development, Preconstruction, and Operations leadership.
  • Experience presenting to clients and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of modern project delivery methods such as Design/Build and IPD, and emerging VDC technologies such as 4D, reality capture, and digital twin concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and grow the VDC team, including VDC Managers and Engineers across all regions.
  • Own the VDC strategic roadmap and related software selection.
  • Establish standardized VDC deliverables, minimum service levels, and project-phase engagement processes.
  • Drive proactive VDC involvement earlier in preconstruction, including model creation from early design documents and constructability input during estimating.
  • Set direction on technology investment, including in-house 4D animation and modeling capabilities, and balance build-versus-outsource decisions.
  • Serve as the VDC lead in client pursuits, owner presentations, and leadership reporting.
  • Partner with Business Development to position VDC as a differentiator in pursuits and proposals.
  • Partner with Preconstruction and Operations leadership to embed VDC into estimating, constructability, and field-execution workflows.
  • Partner with Operations to implement standards and workflows that sustain model use through construction and closeout, including installation, verification, progress tracking, and as-built accuracy.
  • Develop and manage vendor and technology partnerships, including Autodesk and modeling and reality-capture partners.
  • Provide training to team members on VDC capabilities and processes.
  • Establish metrics to track VDC impact, including coordination quality, field-conflict reduction, and contribution to pursuit wins.
  • Build the long-term case for VDC across the project lifecycle, including potential extension into facility operations and owner O&M support.
  • Build and develop a high-performing, multi-region VDC team capable of supporting the full project lifecycle.
  • Ensure VDC is engaged proactively and early enough to prevent field conflicts and support successful pursuits.
  • Serve as a senior voice on VDC capability and value with clients and company leadership.
  • Ensure tools and platforms balance capability, cost, and scalability.
  • Set VDC standards, workflows, and minimum deliverables company-wide.
  • Recommend and direct technology investments and vendor relationships.
  • Represent VDC in client and executive-level presentations.
  • Direct the work of VDC consultants and outsourced modeling partners.
