Requirements
  • Master’s degree from accredited Physician Assistant program or completion of a master’s level advanced practice nurse program
  • Active APRN or Physician Assistant license in State of Illinois and active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
Responsibilities
  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient care in collaboration with two EP physicians and supervising physician
  • Complete evaluation, differential diagnosis, treatment plans and medication management
  • Manage the inpatient service, including pre-procedural history and physical examination, new consults, progress notes, daily rounding with each physician, and postoperative exams and discharges, as well as providing patient education about cardiac conditions
  • Daily participation in clinic and help with physician electronic medical record inbox responsibilities
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives
  • Support a comprehensive collaboration with supervising physician to provide an independent electrophysiology service line
