Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required, or four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Five years of information technology experience, including three years in a senior-level engineering, analyst, or consultant role, is required. A Houston Methodist Workday project team member with two additional years of demonstrated progressive responsibility satisfies the experience requirements.
  • Three years of experience in enterprise resource planning integration is required.
  • Experience with Workday, Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services is required.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English is required to perform the essential functions of the job, particularly activities affecting patient or employee safety or security.
  • Employees may be required to participate in on-call coverage during emergencies.
  • Travel within and outside the Houston metropolitan area may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business and information technology teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver Workday solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to peers and end users on Workday functionality, integrations, and reporting.
  • Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and vendors to align priorities and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Workday enhancements, integrations, and security updates according to organizational standards.
  • Monitor and support Workday integrations to ensure data accuracy and timely processing across connected systems.
  • Provide tier-two and tier-three support for Workday technical issues and resolve incidents within defined service-level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements through testing and governance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configuration standards, and integration mappings.
  • Execute structured testing protocols for Workday changes to validate performance, usability, and accuracy before release.
  • Identify opportunities to use native Workday functionality to reduce reliance on third-party tools and associated costs.
  • Support optimization of licensing and integration costs through system rationalization and vendor management.
  • Monitor resource usage and performance to ensure efficient allocation of technical support efforts.
  • Research and recommend new Workday features and innovations aligned with business strategy and the platform roadmap.
  • Partner with business units to design scalable Workday solutions that enable process automation and improved user experience.
  • Analyze system performance, identify gaps, and implement enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience integrating Workday with third-party systems is preferred.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals certification is preferred.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional certification is preferred.
