Field Service Engineer
About the job
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
- One to three years of experience in hardware support or repair work is required.
- One to three years of experience in a customer-facing role is required.
- High technical and analytical problem-solving skills are required.
- Exceptional customer service skills are required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- A current and valid driver's license must be maintained.
- A US visa is required.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency requests, prioritizing issues based on severity.
- Document service activities, repairs, and customer interactions using service management software.
- Provide clear technical explanations to customers and recommend equipment optimization.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues and escalate problems when necessary.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory records and submit timely service-completion reports.
- Travel within the assigned zone to meet scheduled appointments and service commitments.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures during field service activities.
- Provide feedback on equipment performance and customer needs to support continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for personal warehouse and stock.
- Forward sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need replacement.
- Attend required Anton Paar service trainings for relevant product lines.
- Substitute for other Field Service Engineers within the country.
