Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or enrollment in and active pursuit of the degree.
  • At least 1 year of related experience and/or training in contracts, pricing, suppliers, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, legal, or inside sales.
  • Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure subcontracting strategies align with project goals and company policies.
  • Review and interpret prime contract requirements to ensure subcontract compliance.
  • Manage and be responsible for the Small Business Program.
  • Submit Individual Subcontracting Reports and Summary Subcontracting Reports in accordance with Small Business filing requirements.
  • Perform periodic audits of supplier business classifications and sourcing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the Small Business Program.
  • Organize and participate in outreach programs, supplier development events, and training sessions to promote small business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present reports on small business program performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree, such as a Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, or Juris Doctor.
  • Experience in an industry involving government contracts, such as aerospace, military/defense, or energy.
  • Relevant aerospace and defense industry experience and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
