Requirements

  • Ability to work in an environment where pork products, alcohol, gluten, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, and other common allergens are present.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect equipment before starting mixing to ensure it is operational and free of foreign material or damage, and document observations on startup and shutdown checklists using a mobile application or tablet.
  • Adjust processing equipment to maintain dough consistency and meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Document lot numbers, raw dough temperatures, and fat percentages, and communicate product or ingredient deviations to the production supervisor.
  • Perform online bake-offs and verify results against quality standards.
  • Report accidents and maintenance issues to the production supervisor.
  • Operate high-speed and high-tech processing and packaging equipment according to standard operating procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery or equipment problems and partner with maintenance technicians to resolve issues.
  • Calibrate processing and packaging systems as required to meet specifications.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas during production.
  • Perform changeovers and end-of-run cleaning, including disassembly and reassembly of necessary equipment.
  • Log downtime and maintenance issues in the computerized maintenance management system to track equipment breakdowns and production issues for continuous improvement projects.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet Safe Quality Food, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
  • Perform quality-control tests and ensure dough meets quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Report quality issues or improvement suggestions to the production supervisor.
  • Follow company safety policies and practices and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout standard operating procedures.
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions to the immediate production supervisor.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment.

  • Experience using an SAP-based barcode scanner and system.
  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
