North Little Rock mayor speaks on Eaton's planned $242 million manufacturing facility.

North Little Rock mayor speaks on Eaton's planned $242 million manufacturing facility. Posted: Sep 2, 2026 / 05:10 PM CDT Updated: Sep 2, 2026 / 05:10 PM CDT NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Eaton plans to build a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Little Rock, representing an investment of more than $242 million and creating an estimated 1,200 new jobs. The power management company says the facility will manufacture customized electrical enclosures for its Fibrebond business. Those enclosures will help meet growing demand from the data center, utility, industrial and digital communications markets. Eaton expects the North Little Rock facility to double its U.S. manufacturing capacity for electrical enclosures. North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick says the project is a major economic win for the entire central Arkansas region. "It's not just 1,200 jobs coming to North Little Rock, it's 1,200 jobs coming to central Arkansas," Hartwick said. "That's big wherever you are." Hartwick said North Little Rock competed against other states before ultimately being selected for the project. He credited state and local economic development efforts, as well as the city's continued investment in infrastructure and community development. Hartwick said the project could provide new opportunities for people across central Arkansas, including high school graduates who may choose to enter the workforce rather than leave the area for college or employment. The facility is also expected to have an impact on construction and local utilities as the project moves forward. Hartwick said construction activity is expected to begin ramping up in 2028.
