Requirements
  • At least 5 years of product management experience, including time in a Senior- or Staff-titled role owning complex products end to end from discovery through measurable customer or business outcomes.
  • Experience building B2B or enterprise software-as-a-service products with complex workflows, multiple personas, and heavy configuration.
  • Ability to make powerful software approachable for technical and non-technical users alike.
  • Strong customer discovery skills, including identifying underlying customer problems and turning them into scalable product direction.
  • Ability to prioritize and explain tradeoffs across strategic bets, customer commitments, quality, platform work, and near-term revenue.
  • Technical fluency in systems, data, application programming interfaces, artificial intelligence behavior, and implementation tradeoffs.
  • Ability to write concise requirements and decision documents, provide clear updates, and align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of shipping in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and creating clarity without a finished playbook.
  • Strong systems thinking, including anticipating edge cases, downstream effects, product debt, and platform-wide impacts.
  • High ownership and willingness to seek evidence, invite critique, change direction when warranted, and disagree directly and constructively.
  • Experience navigating competing priorities among Design, Engineering, executives, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams.
Responsibilities
  • Own multiple related products or product surfaces end to end, from problem framing through launch and adoption, with accountability for customer, business, and product outcomes.
  • Run discovery with customers, prospects, and the teams closest to them, and turn findings into product direction that scales across the customer base.
  • Shape the roadmap by translating company strategy into a concrete plan and deciding how artificial intelligence agents, platform investments, quality, and customer needs should be prioritized.
  • Write requirements and decision documents covering the what, why, success measures, scope, and edge cases so Design and Engineering can execute quickly and confidently.
  • Partner with Design and Engineering through delivery, resolve ambiguity, pressure-test scope, review work in progress, and own final product sign-off.
  • Communicate clearly across the company about what is shipping, why it is shipping, and the customer outcome it is intended to achieve.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building AI- or machine-learning-powered products, especially where quality, evaluation, observability, human oversight, or model behavior matter.
  • Experience with workflow products, data platforms, developer tools, operations software, or other information-dense products where power users need to move quickly and make changes on the fly.
  • Comfort with and empathy for Trust & Safety, integrity, fraud, risk, compliance, or adjacent high-stakes use cases.
  • Experience evolving a mature platform product while launching new product lines alongside it.
  • Experience at an early-stage or scaling company where product managers owned broad surfaces and helped establish lightweight product practices.
  • A perspective that broadens how the company thinks about product rather than reproducing the same background across the team.

Cinder raises $41M Series B to help platforms combat AI-powered threats with automated safety tools

Cinder, a trust and safety platform startup, has raised $41 million in Series B funding led by Radical Ventures, with participation from existing investors Accel and Y Combinator. The round brings total funding to over $60 million. Founded by former Meta employees Glen Wise and Phil Brennan, who previously built community threat intelligence platforms, Cinder provides tools for content moderation, case investigation and risk monitoring. The platform serves social media, AI labs, e-commerce and financial companies facing online safety challenges. The company is developing "agentic safety" capabilities, using AI agents to automate repetitive investigation and classification tasks. The funding will support AI agent development, customer support expansion and hiring. Competitors include Intrinsic and Spectrum Labs.
