Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates quality and safety initiatives across the Bone and Joint Institute, utilizing data analytics to identify trends, set benchmarks, and drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes
  • Leads multidisciplinary quality and safety committees to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Ensures adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards (TJC, CMS, DOH, OSHA, HIPAA) within the ambulatory practice environment
  • Monitors risk management activities, safety events, and performance metrics to support a culture of accountability and transparency
  • Provides direct oversight to the Nurse Navigation team and other quality-focused staff, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating team members to achieve departmental goals
  • Oversees collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical and operational data to evaluate quality outcomes; prepares presentations and reports for leadership, committees, and regulatory bodies, recommending evidence-based strategies for improvement
  • Partners with providers, nurses, and administrative teams to standardize care processes, promote evidence-based practice, and enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and access to care across all service lines
  • Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Practice and other Institute leadership to align departmental goals with organizational priorities and supports long-term quality improvement initiatives and integration across service lines
  • Leads proactive communication strategies to support change management, ensuring staff understanding, engagement, and alignment with institutional initiatives; promotes effective information flow across multidisciplinary teams
