Alizé Group leaves the fate of its puzzles to the court.

Alizé Group leaves the fate of its puzzles to the court. Although prosperous, the Moselle-based company has requested its placement in receivership in order to renegotiate the bank debt linked to its own buyout. Published on Oct. 21, 2026 at 09:27 Updated on Oct. 21, 2026 at 11:00 Reserved for subscribers In Behren-lès-Forbach, in Moselle, Alizé Group, buoyed by new partnerships with King Jouet and Cultura, is expecting an excellent end to the year. According to our information, the national leader in puzzle manufacturing and distribution nevertheless requested this summer to be placed under judicial supervision in order to clarify a banking dispute. In late September, the Sarreguemines commercial court gave it until January 19 to renegotiate the senior debt - that is, priority debt - taken on to finance its LBO. "Our situation stems not from commercial difficulties but from an oversized debt that we want to reschedule over ten years," assures Frédéric Metge, the president of Alizé Group. The SME, which is operating at full capacity in the run-up to the Christmas holidays, is paying the wages of its fifty-seven employees and its suppliers' invoices without difficulty. But its parent holding company, Game of Puzzle, remains weighed down by senior debt contracted in the form of an LBO with two financial institutions, Caisse d'épargne Grand Est and Banque populaire, in June 2022.
