About the job

Requirements
  • Workforce or capacity planning experience, including forecasting supply and demand, managing a distributed or contract workforce, or scaling a service delivery team.
  • Ownership of complex operational programs with direct accountability for measurable outcomes such as revenue, gross margin, retention, utilization, or cost.
  • Ability to investigate performance independently, identify trends and root causes, and turn data into action.
  • Business and financial acumen, including understanding how operational decisions affect revenue, unit economics, and gross margin.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without authority, including when they disagree on timelines.
  • Ability to prioritize independently across several workflows and decide what deserves attention when priorities are urgent.
  • Track record of turning messy, one-off work into documented, repeatable systems.
  • Practical use of AI for analysis, automation, process improvement, and reducing manual work.
  • Willingness to do hands-on work such as investigating dashboards, following up on individual cases, reconciling conflicting data, building lightweight fixes, or testing processes.
  • Ability to communicate operational findings to executives as clear recommendations with tradeoffs.
Responsibilities
  • Own workforce management for the largest revenue channel, including clinician capacity, retention, utilization, and credentialing throughput, with accountability for revenue and gross margin outcomes.
  • Build and run systems to ensure sufficient clinician capacity and session volume at the appropriate cost.
  • Manage gross margin and unit economics by translating workforce performance into cost and margin impact and making tradeoffs visible.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance data to identify changes, root causes, and actions.
  • Turn data and forecasts into recommendations and priorities for Clinical, Recruiting and Credentialing, Operations, Finance, Product, and Go-to-Market, then partner with those teams’ leaders to execute.
  • Manage clinical review operations, including workflows, throughput, service-level agreements, and dependencies, in partnership with Clinical leadership; clinical judgment and quality remain with Clinical.
  • Continuously improve access, utilization, retention, cost efficiency, margin, and scalability in the existing program.
  • Plan capacity ahead and surface future supply and demand gaps early enough for Recruiting, Credentialing, Clinical, and Operations to act.
  • Monitor workforce mix, clinician utilization, retention, and program economics; identify performance problems, root causes, and recovery plans.
  • Simplify or automate manual workflows.
  • Represent partner-team interests, surface tradeoffs, and drive decisions when priorities compete.
  • Provide executives with clear visibility into program performance, risk, financial impact, and mitigation actions.
Desired Qualifications
  • SQL, Google Apps Script, Looker or similar business intelligence tools, workflow automation, or building lightweight internal tools.
  • Experience in telehealth, behavioral health, K-12, health plan partnerships, or another operationally complex healthcare environment.

About the company

Daybreak Health provides online mental health services for K-12 students by partnering with schools to expand their teletherapy capacity. Its programs are evidence-based and tailored to individual needs, with specialized sub-programs for high-risk groups (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, low-income students, rural or homeless students). The service operates through schools’ referrals and delivers a full treatment cycle of 12+ weeks, with the aim of improving students’ mental health and, in turn, their academic performance. Unlike providers that offer short-term or generic care, Daybreak Health positions itself as a high-quality, value-driven partner that offers a comprehensive, long-term program rather than a check-the-box solution. The company’s goal is to scale real, lasting improvements in students’ mental health and education outcomes by delivering structured, school-based teletherapy.”}When done. • Fragmented workflows and weak internal systems show up in 2026 employee reviews, slowing scaling.

What makes Daybreak Health unique

  • It reports 1.9 million students reached and 92% family behavior improvements.
