Genesys named a Leader in the Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Contact Center as a Service for 12th consecutive year.

Genesys named a Leader in the Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Contact Center as a Service for 12th consecutive year. The company believes its consistent recognition reflects the strength of Genesys Cloud in advancing agentic orchestration for enterprise customer experience. Genesys(R), a global leader in agentic orchestration for customer experience (CX), announced its position as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS)[1], with the company positioned highest on the Ability to Execute axis. This marks the 12th consecutive year Genesys has been recognized as a Magic Quadrant Leader. As autonomous AI proliferates, the Genesys Cloud platform is delivering agentic orchestration at enterprise scale and enabling AI agents to automate more work end to end to lower cost to serve, reduce customer effort and strengthen loyalty. In the accompanying Gartner Critical Capabilities for Contact Center as a Service[2] report, Genesys was the only vendor to be ranked first or second across all use cases. Genesys ranked highest for Customer Engagement Center and Global Contact Center and received the second-highest scores for the remaining three Use Cases: High-Volume Customer Call Center, Digital Contact Center and Agile Contact Center. "Over the past 12 years, customer experience has moved through cloud, digital and successive waves of AI. Genesys has helped enterprises turn every new innovation into meaningful outcomes for customers and the business," said Mike Szilagyi, senior vice president and head of product at Genesys. "We believe our continued recognition as a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader speaks to our capabilities. As autonomous AI proliferates, the Genesys Cloud(TM) platform is delivering agentic orchestration at enterprise scale and enabling AI agents to automate more work end to end to lower cost to serve, reduce customer effort and strengthen loyalty." The Genesys Cloud platform manages over 33 billion customer interactions annually and is trusted by more than 7,500 organizations worldwide. The company believes its continued recognition by Gartner reflects the strength of the Genesys Cloud platform in helping enterprises move beyond stand-alone AI and deterministic workflows toward agentic orchestration - a new operating model for CX that coordinates AI, people and systems in real time from customer intent to outcome. The Genesys Cloud platform enables this model by connecting the context, business goals, policies and enterprise capabilities needed to act with governance embedded throughout. According to Gartner, "Leaders are suppliers that offer a broad range of customer service capabilities and can support multinational organizations through local sales and support organizations. Leaders are more likely to serve customers through channel partners and have strong brand recognition, which has resulted in a large installed base or above-average market growth driven by customer demand. Leaders support varying levels of deployment complexity, including integrations with partners through established marketplaces."[1]

From context to action: Orchestrating insurance experiences with Genesys and Guidewire.

From context to action: Orchestrating insurance experiences with Genesys and Guidewire. Insurance customer experiences rarely exist in a single system. A policyholder might start by checking coverage online, move to a digital conversation about a claim, and eventually need help from an adjuster. Behind that seemingly simple journey are policy details, claims history, billing information, customer interactions, and, increasingly, artificial intelligence (AI) working across multiple systems. Many insurers have spent years investing in digital channels, automation and AI. The challenge for them is making those investments work together with the systems that hold the context needed to move a customer toward the right outcome. For many property and casualty insurers, Guidewire plays a central role in managing policy, billing and claims information. Connecting that context with Genesys Cloud can help employees respond with greater continuity across channels while extending the value of the insurer's existing Guidewire investment. That's where the integration between Genesys Cloud(TM) and Guidewire can create new opportunities. Through the Guidewire-validated Genesys Cloud integrations available on Guidewire Marketplace, insurers can connect Genesys Cloud with Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter in complementary ways: embedding Genesys Cloud voice, digital and AI capabilities into the Guidewire core platform employees already use and leveraging validated APIs to orchestrate data and automation across the two platforms. As insurers explore what agentic AI could mean for their business, that connection becomes increasingly important. AI can only move an experience forward when it has the context and access needed to understand what's happening, determine the appropriate next step, and act within the right guardrails. Connecting digital experiences to the insurance journey. Digital transformation has changed how customers interact with insurers, but adding more channels doesn't automatically create a connected experience. A policyholder might want to text for a claims update, use self-service to make a policy change, or receive a proactive notification rather than call for information. Each interaction becomes more useful when it can draw from the policy and claims context already available within the insurer's core systems. That distinction matters. A chatbot that can answer general questions is useful. One that can recognize the customer, understand the status of a claim and help move the appropriate process forward can play a much larger role in the customer journey. Connecting systems of engagement with Guidewire-powered insurance workflows can help insurers carry context across channels rather than requiring customers and employees to recreate it with every interaction. It also creates a foundation for more proactive experiences: anticipating why a customer might be reaching out, providing relevant information earlier and helping determine what should happen next. For customers navigating a claim or policy issue, those moments of continuity can make a complex process feel considerably simpler. "As insurers explore AI and more proactive service models, access to trusted policy and claims data becomes increasingly important," said Tony Alonzo, North America Insurance Lead at Genesys. "The integration between Guidewire and Genesys can help insurers connect that context with customer interactions, creating opportunities to improve self-service, support employees with the information they need and anticipate customer needs across the insurance journey." Giving employees context where they need it. The same fragmentation customers experience externally often creates friction for employees internally. Insurance agents and adjusters may need to move among policy systems, claims platforms, knowledge bases, communication tools and other applications to resolve a single customer request. Every additional search or system switch introduces another opportunity for delay. For newer employees, that complexity can make it harder to become proficient. For experienced employees, it adds administrative work to jobs where judgment, empathy and insurance expertise are often more valuable. This is where an embedded, API-connected experience can make a practical difference. When Genesys Cloud capabilities are integrated with Guidewire, employees can manage customer interactions while working in ClaimCenter or PolicyCenter. Relevant customer context can come into the interaction rather than requiring the employee to repeatedly leave the conversation to find it. The goal is to help employees spend less time navigating technology and more time applying their expertise to the customer's needs. That becomes particularly important as insurers think about the future of their workforce. AI and automation can help absorb routine work, but greater value may come from making human expertise easier to apply at the moments when it matters most. From AI assistance to agentic orchestration. Connecting customer engagement with policy and claims context also changes what AI can do. Earlier generations of customer service AI largely focused on individual tasks, like predicting intent, routing an interaction, answering a question or recommending content to an employee. Those capabilities remain valuable, but agentic AI introduces the potential to coordinate actions toward a broader outcome. Consider a policyholder contacting an insurer about a claim. Instead of treating that interaction as an isolated request, an orchestrated experience could recognize the customer's intent, access relevant policy and claims information, determine whether self-service is appropriate, bring in a human expert when needed, and trigger the next action in the process. For a customer calling about a renewal, the same connected foundation can give an employee relevant policy and interaction context before the conversation begins. During the interaction, Genesys Cloud AI capabilities can surface guidance and relevant information, while automation can help reduce administrative work afterward. The technology becomes less about adding another AI tool to the employee desktop and more about coordinating what happens across the journey. That's an important distinction in the agentic era. Intelligence alone doesn't create a better experience. AI needs trusted context, access to the right systems and clear guardrails to turn intelligence into action. "Insurance experiences are only as connected as the systems behind them," said David Porter, Vice President of Global Financial Services Industry Practice at Genesys. "By bringing customer engagement together with the policy and claims context in Guidewire, insurers can give AI and employees the information they need to respond more effectively, anticipate customer needs and create more seamless experiences across the journey." Creating value across the insurance lifecycle. Once customer interactions and core insurance systems are connected, the opportunity extends beyond an individual service use case. In claims, insurers can use context and automation to help customers check status, provide missing information and receive proactive updates without always needing to contact an adjuster. In policy servicing, customers can get more relevant assistance with changes, billing questions or renewals because the interaction is informed by their existing relationship. In sales and retention, employees can enter conversations with greater context and use AI-powered guidance to identify appropriate next steps. And across these journeys, automation can help reduce repetitive administrative work so employees can focus their time where human expertise adds the greatest value. The opportunity is to connect the information, intelligence and people involved so each interaction can contribute to a larger customer and business outcome. Building the foundation for what comes next. The insurance industry doesn't have a shortage of digital ambition. Insurers have invested significantly in modern channels, AI and automation. The next opportunity is to make those investments work together across the customer journey. Connecting systems of engagement with Guidewire-powered insurance workflows is an important part of that foundation. With Genesys Cloud and Guidewire, insurers can bring customer interactions and core insurance context closer together, helping employees work more efficiently while creating experiences that are more informed, proactive and continuous. And as agentic AI takes on a larger role in customer experience, those connections become even more valuable. AI that can understand intent is useful. AI that can combine intent with trusted context, coordinate across systems, and help move a customer toward an outcome can transform how experiences are delivered. For insurers, the question is increasingly not how much AI they can add. It's how effectively they can orchestrate AI, data, systems and human expertise around the moments that matter. Stripe, Meta, Walmart, and Shopify are building the infrastructure for AI agents to shop for you

Stripe, Meta, Walmart, and Shopify are building the infrastructure for AI agents to shop for you. A wave of new protocols and integrations is turning AI assistants into autonomous shoppers, with agentic purchases through Stripe Link surging 38-fold in a single month. 2 hours ago Meta official logo (public domain, Wikimedia Commons) - CryptoBriefing brand treatment Sponsored: Vera - AI-powered prediction market intelligence, built for serious analysts Explore Vera A coalition of major technology and retail companies is quietly rewriting the rules of online commerce, moving from a world where you click "buy" to one where your AI agent does it while you're doing something else entirely. Meta, Sierra, Genesys, Rocket, Shopify, and Walmart have announced work on the Personal Agent Protocol, an open standard designed to let personal AI agents interact directly with businesses on behalf of their users. The numbers behind the shift. The commercial stakes are not abstract. Stripe's Link digital wallet, which counts approximately 300 million users and connects to around 1 million merchants, has seen agentic purchases surge 38-fold over the past month leading into late September 2026. Meta's AI assistant, Muse, launched on September 8, 2026, as the first personal agent to integrate with Stripe Link, giving it the ability to complete purchases through one-time virtual cards or stored payment credentials. Within two weeks of launch, Muse added Shop Pay and PayPal integrations, and it became the first agent to offer purchase protections to users. Walmart is positioned as a major connector within the Muse ecosystem alongside other large retailers. AI, tech, and the markets they move - in one daily briefing. Daily. Free. Join 34,000+ readers across crypto, finance, and policy. A fragmented standards race. Walmart and Shopify are also participants in the Universal Commerce Protocol, co-developed with Google, Target, Etsy, and Wayfair, which is designed to cover the full arc of an agent-initiated checkout process. Stripe, for its part, co-developed the Agentic Commerce Protocol with OpenAI, released under Apache 2.0 in September 2025, to streamline checkout flows for AI-driven transactions. Stripe also launched the Machine Payment Protocol with Tempo in March 2026 to address how machines, rather than humans, handle payment initiation. Genesys expanded its own collaborations with Meta and others in September 2026, focusing on agentic customer experience orchestration using protocols including A2A and MCP. What this adds up to is a landscape where several overlapping and competing protocols are vying to become the standard layer through which AI agents transact, with no single framework yet dominant. Why this matters beyond the tech. The shift from chat-based AI assistants to transaction-capable agents is a structural change in how consumers engage with retail. A chatbot that recommends a product is useful; an agent that buys it, tracks shipping, and handles returns on your behalf is a different category of tool entirely. Muse's decision to include purchase protections from the start signals that the companies building these agents understand that trust is the real bottleneck to mass adoption, not the technology itself.
