A 16-storey office tower in Dallas' Galleria area is undergoing a $57 million renovation, with records suggesting Amazon may be the incoming tenant. The project at 13737 Noel Road, known as Galleria North Tower I, involves a two-phase interior renovation covering 223,000 square feet. Construction is expected to begin in January and last through mid-August 2027. The filing lists "DFW 22" as the tenant, a naming convention consistent with Amazon's other facilities, and includes contact details for an Amazon construction manager. WS Development purchased the building for roughly $63.4 million in June 2025. Amazon already maintains a presence nearby at Two Galleria Tower, where it renewed its five-year lease in 2024.
Amazon is acquiring a NT$1.59 billion (approximately $49 million) stake in Gold Circuit Electronics, a Taiwanese manufacturer of printed circuit boards for AI servers and network switches. The investment will give Amazon roughly 13% ownership in GCE. The deal marks Amazon's strategic move to secure supply chain capacity for its AI infrastructure needs. GCE specialises in high-layer-count PCBs used in advanced computing systems, which have become increasingly critical as demand for AI hardware accelerates. The transaction is expected to close in the coming months, subject to regulatory approval. GCE supplies multiple technology companies but will now have Amazon as a significant shareholder, potentially securing priority access to production capacity during periods of high demand.
Nancy Pelosi's spouse and hedge fund manager Bill Ackman both hold positions in Uber and Amazon, though at vastly different scales. Pelosi's husband purchased 200 Uber call options on 29 May with a $50 strike price expiring March 2027. Ackman's Pershing Square owns 34.3 million Uber shares worth approximately $2.48 billion, representing 12.72% of the fund's assets. Ackman increased this stake by 15% during the second quarter. Both also hold Amazon positions. Pelosi owns call options with a $120 strike price, whilst Pershing Square holds 8.56 million shares worth about $2.04 billion. Amazon's valuation premium centres on AWS, which comprises 21% of revenue but generates 60% of operating profit. The non-GAAP forward P/E of 30.64 is more than double the sector median of 14.73.
Amazon has launched new AI-powered tools to help marketers purchase ad inventory across its media platforms. The company introduced full-funnel campaigns designed for advertisers already selling on Amazon's marketplace. These agentic tools aim to automate media buying processes, representing Amazon's continued effort to strengthen its position in the advertising technology sector. The move reflects the growing integration of artificial intelligence in digital advertising, as Amazon seeks to simplify and streamline the ad purchasing experience for its business customers.
Gold Circuit Electronics has secured a NT$1.59 billion ($49.9 million) investment from Amazon through a private placement of 1.86 million shares at NT$856 per share. Amazon, previously not a shareholder, will become a strategic investor with a three-year transfer restriction on the acquired shares. The printed circuit board manufacturer also approved a NT$7.9 billion ($248.1 million) capacity expansion plan covering land, construction, and equipment. Investment is set to begin in Q4 2026, funded through unsecured convertible bonds. Gold Circuit Electronics supplies PCBs for ASIC servers to four major cloud service providers. Institutional investors project Taiwan capacity will grow 50% year-over-year in the second half, whilst Thailand capacity will increase five to six times, with utilisation rates at full capacity.
