LAS VEGAS - Intermountain Health has opened the new 90,000-square-foot Badura Clinic in southwest Las Vegas, marking the health system's first ground-up construction project in Nevada and expanding access to primary, specialty and cancer care in one of the region's fastest-growing communities. Intermountain Health celebrated the facility's completion July 30 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house. Located at 8350 W. Badura Ave. in the Spring Valley area, the three-story medical office building consolidates services previously located across the Las Vegas Valley into a single outpatient destination. Spring Valley is home to nearly 250,000 residents. The clinic offers adult and senior primary care, pediatrics, women's health, cancer care, radiation therapy, infusion services, diabetes and endocrinology, rheumatology and palliative care. It also includes dedicated space for Shriners Children's to provide pediatric orthopedic and rehabilitation specialty services. Women's health and palliative care represent two new service lines for Intermountain Health in Nevada. A major component of the facility is its cancer center, which brings medical and radiation oncology together and incorporates PET and CT imaging as well as linear accelerator technology. The co-location of cancer services is intended to reduce the number of locations patients must visit while creating a more coordinated outpatient care experience. Design draws on the Nevada landscape. Nevada-based Martin-Harris Construction developed the project, with HDR Inc. serving as architect. The project team also included TJK Electrical Engineering and VBFA Engineers. HDR drew inspiration from nearby Red Rock Canyon when developing the building's exterior. The design incorporates the canyon's colors, patterns and rugged textures into a tilt-up concrete structure, using patterned panels and a desert-inspired palette to establish a regional identity for the medical facility. "The development of this medical office building reimagined how healthcare delivery can be achieved," Todd Tierney, Region Director of Architecture and Senior Vice President with HDR, said in a statement when the project broke ground. Tierney said the design team sought to translate the character of Red Rock Canyon into the building while balancing aesthetics, functionality and environmental considerations. The project also includes an infusion center and healing garden, adding patient-focused spaces to the clinical program. Expanding outpatient access. Construction began in June 2024, and the project reached its topping-out milestone in June 2025. Clinical teams moved into the completed facility in phases during the months preceding the July grand opening. The Spring Valley location was selected in part to improve healthcare access in southwest Las Vegas and allow residents to receive a broader range of services closer to home. Consolidating primary and specialty services also allows multiple generations of a family to receive care at the same location. "This clinic represents much more than a new building," Trevor Smith, Regional Vice President of Medical Group Operations for Intermountain Health, said in a statement. The gift was led by Raiders owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban, and Michael Meldman - each of whom contributed $5 million toward the development - and the Raiders, which committed the additional $10 million. "The Las Vegas Raiders are making our largest philanthropic commitment in franchise history because we are dedicated to building a healthier future for kids in Nevada," said Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. The hospital, located at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park, will be the first of its kind in Nevada, anchoring a new future for kids and families across the state and delivering comprehensive, high-acuity pediatric care. The 828,000 square-foot standalone children's hospital will be located on a 33-acre campus and feature 180 patient beds, with room to grow. It will provide advanced emergency services designed specifically for children and a full spectrum outpatient center alongside inpatient and specialty care. In recognition of this landmark gift, Intermountain Health Nevada Children's Hospital's physical therapy and rehabilitation space, along with its bistro - spaces designed for healing and recovery, will be named in the Raiders' honor. The future Las Vegas Raiders Bistro, located adjacent to the hospital's main lobby, will provide nourishment, comfort, and a moment of respite for families. This will be a space where caregivers and parents navigating the complexities of having a child in the hospital can pause. Whether gathering strength for the next conversation, sharing a quiet meal, or seeking a moment of normalcy, families will find support here.
