Requirements
  • Highly experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in healthcare
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying policies, procedures, and laws
  • Experienced in contract drafting with the ability to use both standard and non-standard forms effectively
  • Skilled at interpreting federal and state healthcare regulations, as well as legal compliance processes
  • Bachelor's Degree required in the field of law, business administration, healthcare administration etc, and or relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in directly overseeing contract and procurement functions, ideally in the healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of contract law
  • Paralegal background
Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate (independently or cross functionally), and review agreements/contracts, including but not limited to: NDA, BAA, MSA, PSA, SOW, SLA and DPA, while assessing risks related to data privacy, security, and intellectual property
  • Maintain templates and playbooks for use by the procurement team, providing training as needed
  • Assist with renegotiation/termination of contracts
  • Efficiently prioritize internal and external resources, while minimizing risk and maximizing cost-effectiveness
  • Serve as a liaison between Legal, IT, Risk Management, and Procurement for vendor security reviews and maintenance of approved data sub-processors
