Requirements
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team, including delegating daily tasks and helping resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Ownership of parts inventory management, including accuracy, stock levels, and cycle count outcomes for the location.
  • Ability to work directly with the General Manager on parts operations, staffing needs, and process improvements.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries regarding company services, pricing, repair completion dates, and adjustments to bills or repair orders.
  • Skills to promote and sell company services.
  • Ability to assess needs and promote alternative products and services.
  • Ability to coordinate activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems or equivalent.
  • Ability to create Work Orders and Purchase Orders in a systems environment.
  • Experience in parts receiving and processing.
  • Ability to kit parts and issue them to technicians.
  • Ability to transact inventory movements.
  • Experience conducting parts inventory cycle counts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong servicing experience requiring sound judgment and the ability to guide others through routine and non-routine situations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a two-person parts team.
  • Own day-to-day inventory management for the location.
  • Work directly with the General Manager to keep parts operations running smoothly.
  • Support customers through hands-on service.
  • Coordinate activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Perform frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds; push and pull up to 75 pounds; and occasionally climb, stoop, and perform overhead work using hand tools.
  • Work in an indoor/outdoor shop and yard setting exposed to noise, heat, cold, and wet or icy conditions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a lead, supervisor, or point person on a parts or warehouse team.
  • Experience opening, reviewing, and communicating status to customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Coordinating skills to communicate activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong telephone skills.
