Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A Massachusetts radiologic technologist radiography license or Massachusetts temporary radiography license is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Zero to one year of related work experience is required.
  • If a new graduate, the employee must achieve American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography within 6 months.
  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access, is required.
  • The employee must communicate clearly and effectively in written English.
  • The employee must comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families, and external customers.
  • The employee must work collaboratively in small teams.
  • The employee must provide professional, service-oriented customer service and use active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • The employee must be able to perform physically demanding work involving extended periods of standing or moving and exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally or 50 pounds frequently.
Responsibilities
  • Follow departmental guidelines, protocols, and infection-control policies when performing diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Schedule and document examinations and maintain accurate and complete examination records.
  • Perform quality control on all equipment according to standard procedures.
  • Greet patients by appropriate title, provide education appropriate to the examination, and provide the complete medical record to the radiologist.
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging for inpatients, outpatients, emergency department patients, and patients in the surgical setting.
  • Prioritize competing tasks and seek managerial assistance when appropriate.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate's degree in Radiology is preferred.
  • Prior experience and knowledge with PACS and computed radiography technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience is preferred.

Beth Israel Lahey Health rolls out Heidi's AI scribing to all physicians after 90% report better patient presence

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
