Product Manager – Senior

The Product Management team is responsible for determining Zebra’s product offerings and driving development, launch, and adoption of product to positively impact the customers’ experience and market share.

The Product Manager, Sr (RFID Software) works autonomously to own product lifecycle management for assigned product lines which includes product planning and product marketing.

We’re seeking a technically minded Product Manager to join our RFID software team, focused on developing and enhancing SDKs and APIs that support cross-platform application development. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, senior product managers, and solution architects to help define, refine, and support Zebra’s RFID software tools across Android, iOS, and Windows platforms.

This is a hands-on, team-oriented role ideal for someone with strong technical skillset, curiosity and a desire to utilize your technical skills to contribute to cross-functional efforts that improve developer experiences and support real-world RFID solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a background in software development who is eager to grow into a product-focused role.

• Determines product offerings and drives development, launch and adoption of products to positively impact the customers’ experience and market share and support the evolution of Zebra’s RFID SDKs and APIs.
• Conducts market, customer and competitive analysis in order to understand customer needs for his/her product line
• Works with software development teams to ensure clarity of requirements and makes
  necessary adjustments to best meet customer needs for Android, iOS, and Windows-based RFID-enabled applications
• Prioritizes and maintains product backlog and collaborates with software teams to agree on sprint backlog that meets sprint goals; triages and prioritizes issues identified throughout the sprint.
• Analyzes and interprets go to market requirements including geographical customer and market differences, channel partner needs, including end user and partner pricing requirements
• Oversees the product launch plans to assure that his/her product is presented to the market as intended by the strategy
• Manages the product through the product lifecycle including analyzing product sales and profitability performance against financial plans
• Manages the end-of-life process to gracefully transition customers to next generation products and prevent revenue gaps or excessive obsolescence charges

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience in a software organization, product owner or related role
• Ability to travel 10-20% to meet w/partners, customers, and to support various events both domestically and internationally.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid experience in application development, software architecture and/or technical product roles developing native and cross-platform mobile applications particularly for Anrdoid (Kotlin/Java) , iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Windows (C#, UWP).
• Solid understanding of API design and integration (REST, JSON, OAuth, Websockets) and experience building and consuming APIs in production environments.
• Experience developing or integrating with RFID, RTLS or edge computing platforms and/or familiarity with RFID hardware and mobile device platforms.
• Strong execution skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver needs on time 
• Must be a self-starter who is very driven, with a go-getter attitude.
• Thorough comprehensive knowledge of market, competitive landscape, customer requirements, distribution channels and Zebra offerings, anticipates market and customer requirements for assigned product(s).

Salary: USD 94900.00 - USD 142300.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
