At least two years of driving experience, including knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
A current valid New York State commercial driver's license with a Passenger endorsement.

Responsibilities
Drive senior citizens and volunteers to and from their homes or apartments to the senior community service center or other locations while following safety procedures.
Assist frail or handicapped individuals by lifting or pushing wheelchairs.
Maintain accurate paperwork, including daily pickup logs, mileage, number of trips, fuel and oil receipts, and money received.
Assist with meal service at centers, including setting up and breaking down dining tables and performing kitchen duties such as lifting heavy pots of hot water and taking food trays in and out of the oven for distribution.
Dispose of unconsumed food for sanitation pickup.
Assist center staff with setting up and participating in recreational or social events as needed.
Pick up and deliver materials and supplies, including trips to food stores, pharmacies, and the Hicksville administrative office.

Qualifications:

Schedule:
Part-time:14 hours per week – flexible schedule
Rate of Pay: $20 per hour
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation which may be applicable to this position.
