Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, General Business, Management, or similar studies.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management and leading medium to large projects as the assigned Project Manager accountable for success.
  • Experience running multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion.
  • Knowledge of logistics and material handling robotics and automation projects and technologies, including autonomous mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, sortation, and co-bots.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client- or senior-stakeholder-facing role, with strong communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of Lean and continuous improvement, Health and Safety, and Project Management Institute or Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance.
  • Familiarity or experience working with continuous improvement specialists to deliver projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% to project sites as necessary.
  • A current and valid driver's license must be maintained.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
  • Intermediate skills with team productivity tools such as SharePoint and Smartsheet.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate understanding and empathy when dealing with customers.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute project deliverables within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.
  • Manage large-scale automation and engineering solutions projects from project initiation through customer acceptance and handover to aftermarket service.
  • Build relationships with business stakeholders, customers, and key vendors; partner to resolve project issues, provide status updates, and escalate issues and concerns appropriately.
  • Identify high-level requirements and impacted stakeholder groups, align project scope, and organize projects using established project management methodologies.
  • Lead project kickoffs with internal and external resources and customers.
  • Lead internal and external project teams to complete project-related work safely within established timelines and targets.
  • Coordinate transportation and delivery, mechanical and electrical installations, automated-system commissioning, software and IT-system integration, customer training, and go-live stabilization.
  • Manage and track actuals, cash flow, and forecasted spend.
  • Ensure scope is managed and changes follow PMO change-management protocols.
  • Ensure project deliverables achieve expected outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve problems and manage issue and risk processes.
  • Establish communication plans and ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Partner with stakeholders to integrate change-management practices and frameworks for solution sustainability.
  • Facilitate groups in determining the best course for project success.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through final acceptance and handover to aftermarket or service, and track and share lessons learned.
  • Organize project teams by assigning responsibilities, developing schedules, and determining resource requirements.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage issues, risks, and changes using appropriate processes and tools.
  • Perform business analysis and develop formal requirements documentation for scope alignment, solution development, and resource, time, and cost determination.
  • Coordinate vendors and outside contractors to integrate them into projects and ensure satisfactory service standards.
  • Estimate project costs, resources, and time for each phase and allocate resources and tasks to meet targets.
  • Implement established project plans and monitor progress and performance against them.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare regular project-status reports.
  • Deliver large projects on time, on budget, and according to functional and quality specifications as the primary customer-facing contact.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior project management or change-management experience in robotics and automation, material handling or logistics, manufacturing, warehousing and fulfillment, facilities, or enterprise resource planning implementation.
  • A degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner certification.
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn and use project management tools such as Monday.com.
