Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dams engineering.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) or higher qualifications.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status or equivalent Chartered Engineer status, or working towards or equivalent chartered status.
  • Knowledge of design of a broad range of dam types, including embankment and concrete dams.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of elements which may include spillway design, dam design, design of outlets and intake towers, hydropower facilities, dam safety and risk assessments and construction phase experience.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical engineers.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical delivery, with a focus on geotechnical, structural and/or design management skills, which may be applied to dams and tailings project in particular.
  • Actively participate in client relationship management, business development, development of proposals, reports and technical analysis.
  • Mentoring and developing of junior team members.
  • Opportunities to develop client relationship and business development skills under mentorship from team leaders, market leaders, senior engineers etc.
  • A broad range of dams projects including both water dams and tailings dams for a variety of uses including municipal, mining, agriculture and hydropower, particularly throughout Northern Australia.
