Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
  • Strong experience supporting and operating workloads within Amazon Web Services, including hands-on knowledge of core services such as compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and database technologies such as Amazon Relational Database Service, DynamoDB, or Aurora in a production environment.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.

Responsibilities
  • Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope.
  • Drive a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies.
  • Work with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes.
  • Execute creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of problems of moderate complexity.
  • Consider upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical implications and advise on mitigation actions.
  • Leverage enterprise-authorized artificial intelligence coding-assistance tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized artificial intelligence-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service-level agreements, and product supportability requirements.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure remediation and permanent closure of issues, identify trending issues, and drive product improvement.
  • Learn and teach as product teams continually release new features and products.
  • Provide follow-the-sun, 24/7 on-call support through a distributed team spanning multiple time zones.
