Diesel Mechanic
About the job
- A valid Class B commercial driver's license with air-brake qualification, or willingness to obtain it within the first year.
- Knowledge of diesel engines is preferred for the role.
- Knowledge of current methods for maintaining automobiles, trucks, and emergency vehicles is preferred.
- ASE and/or EVT certifications are a plus.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles.
- Perform skilled maintenance work on automotive, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks, including Fire Division and Rescue/EMS Division vehicles, small gasoline engines, and associated equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines.
- Knowledge of up-to-date methods for maintaining automobiles, trucks, and emergency vehicles.
- ASE and/or EVT certifications.
