Staff Platform Engineer
About the job
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows administration, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, networking, production support, and service reliability practices.
- Strong knowledge of incident management, troubleshooting, security best practices, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills, with the ability to lead technical initiatives.
- Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable platform infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Manage Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms and containerized workloads while ensuring high availability, performance, and operational resilience.
- Deploy, administer, and optimize IBM Cloud Pak Stacks, Confluent, Elasticsearch, and related platform technologies.
- Ensure effective monitoring, incident response, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively identify and resolve platform issues.
- Strengthen platform security through access management, vulnerability remediation, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps adoption, automation initiatives, and continuous platform improvements.
- Maintain technical standards, operational documentation, and deployment guides, and support audits and operational reviews.
- Exposure to IBM Cloud Pak Stacks, Confluent, and Elasticsearch.
