Requirements
  • The candidate must have 0–5 years of experience.
  • A four-year technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, construction, or science-oriented curriculum is preferred.
  • The candidate must have strong computer, organizational, and communication/presentation skills.
  • The candidate must demonstrate problem-solving ability and a passion for continuous learning.
  • The candidate must have a strong desire to interface with customers.
  • The candidate must be willing to embrace new technologies and demonstrate business savvy.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel for various training opportunities.
  • Engineering graduates who have not already completed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam are expected to complete it in their area of study within six months of employment.
  • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • The candidate must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of ventilation applications using sound engineering principles.
  • Work directly with engineers, contractors, end users, and food service dealers.
  • Provide inside sales support, application engineering, and outside sales.
  • Prepare presentations, quotes, submittals, and technical product support, and conduct job-site visits and hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
  • Educate users in the market about CaptiveAire products through conference calls, meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Research and develop new business opportunities with new and existing users.
  • Provide customer service and respond quickly to customer needs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes and the customer experience.
  • Train in Rochester for six to twelve months, depending on experience.
  • Attend outside sales meetings and calls to build relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Apply products through application engineering.
  • Manage installation projects, including schedules and plans, to ensure equipment arrives on site when needed.
  • Service and provide technical support for existing equipment.
  • Support end users, including assisting contractors with on-site wiring and remotely troubleshooting equipment for kitchen staff.
  • Work two to three full days per week in the office, one to two days on job sites, and another day developing the territory.
  • Give presentations to the engineering community, visit new customers, and expand contacts with existing accounts.
