Requirements
  • Board-certified or board-eligible nephrologist.
  • Must have already completed general nephrology fellowship training in a US-accredited program (or equivalent) and seek additional expertise in preparation for a career in academic transplantation medicine.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to learn and use new processes, tools and equipment as required.
  • Ability to perform job functions requiring the listed physical capabilities (continuous manual dexterity, lifting and carrying up to 300 pounds with assistance, etc.).
Responsibilities
  • Participate in all clinical training, teaching, and scholarly activities as a Transplant Nephrology Fellow.
  • Manage all aspects of pre-transplant care including waitlist management and kidney donor evaluation.
  • Manage post-transplant care, including performing biopsies and management of immunosuppression.
  • Work under the direct guidance of an experienced Transplant team (Transplant Surgeons, Transplant Nephrologists, Transplant Infectious Disease, Transplant Pharmacology and other specialties) in a coordinated multidisciplinary approach.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities focusing on transplantation medicine to improve patient outcomes.
