- Automotive domain experience is required.
- Deep understanding of the automotive embedded product development lifecycle, including iterative development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Strong technical knowledge of embedded systems, including hardware architectures, real-time operating systems, communication protocols such as CAN bus and LIN bus, and functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and solve complex technical challenges within an Agile framework; adapt to changing requirements and manage project scope.
- Proactive approach to risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning, and ability to ensure adherence to functional safety standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, customers, and other stakeholders; manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear project status updates.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, including requirements specifications, system design documents, and test plans.
- Track record of on-time and on-budget project delivery through resource allocation, planning, and project scheduling; knowledge of lean project management techniques to optimize resource use and project efficiency.
- Eight to ten years of experience in technical program management or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of the automotive embedded hardware development lifecycle from concept to production.
- Partner with engineering teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and risk assessments.
- Manage project dependencies and maintain clear communication among stakeholders.
- Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering, product management, and other departments.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and technologies in embedded hardware development.
- Plan, execute, and deliver complex automotive embedded projects while ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and budgets.
- PMP certification.
