Requirements
  • Experience in physical, industrial, information, and personnel security, including participation in Special Access Program Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in physical, industrial, information, and personnel security participating in Special Access Program Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections in the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
  • Experience with Intelligence Community Directive 705 compliance.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required.
  • A master's degree or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of security classification methods and concepts; eligibility criteria for accessing classified or sensitive information; procedures for granting personnel security clearances or access; and security principles, concepts, and methodologies used to implement information, personnel, and physical security programs protecting Sensitive Compartmented Information.
  • Ability to follow instructions and to read, comprehend, and retain a broad range of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and investigations and collect and analyze information.
  • Ability to evaluate factors including personnel qualifications, building construction characteristics, access and entry restrictions, and equipment availability when addressing security issues and questions.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with managers, civilian and military personnel, and contractors across the Department of Defense and other agencies.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility.
  • Report, document, and investigate security incidents.
  • Review and apply governing policies, including Executive Orders, Department of Defense Security Directives, and the Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) Series.
  • Conduct security inspections and investigations and collect and analyze information.
  • Evaluate factors affecting security decisions and address security issues and questions.
