Requirements
  • Two to five years of experience in commercial kitchen operations or food service leadership.
  • Valid Food Manager certification.
  • Strong leadership, multitasking, basic computer proficiency for inventory software, and problem-solving under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily back-of-house operations, staff management, food safety compliance, and cost control in the restaurant or commercial kitchen.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise back-of-house employees.
  • Monitor stock levels, order food and supplies, and manage waste to reduce costs.
  • Prepare food projections and ensure weekly orders are placed.
  • Enforce health department rules, food safety standards, and proper food storage.
  • Check food plating, portion sizes, and cooking temperatures before meals are served to customers.
  • Provide infused plates while ensuring the appropriate dosage based on the purchase amount is used.
  • Track kitchen finances, manage labor costs, and schedule equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise line cooks.
