The Senior Administrative Program Coordinator assists in managing programming and activities, including weekly program logistics, alumni support, and overseeing daily operations of the office for Tulane Center for Environmental Law (TCEL) & affiliated programs. In addition, this position assists with managing the oversight of budget management, including requisitions, travel transactions, and additional data tracking/maintenance necessary for budget compliance. The position is also responsible for providing administrative support including preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and preparing logistics for successful outcomes of the center.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and three (3) years of office management and/or program coordination experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/Competencies:
Proficient with MS OfficeSuite, especially Word,Excel and Outlook,
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to work proactively in a dynamic environmentandtroubleshootproblems as they arise.
Ability and availability to work evenings and weekends,as needed.
Capacitytoeffectivelymanageinternalrelationshipsandalways represent the University and TCEL & affiliated programs favorably.
Highlyproficient bookkeeping/accounting/budgetmanagementskills; familiarwith businessaccountingand/or budgeting systemsandprocesses.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
More than 3 years of office management and/or program coordinator experience.
- Familiarity with design or event publicity.
Serves as a primary contact for faculty involved in TCEL and affiliated programs, including coordination of daily operations and oversight of office space.
Coordinates the maintenance and efficient organization of office files, participant files, and financial records.
Networks and coordinates communication with professional staff from partners in other institutions involved with the center activities.
Coordinates all logistical requests for office maintenance and operations, including requisition, ITs, and purchase orders.
Arranges and schedules a variety of meetings and appointments, makes reservations and travel arrangements, establishes and maintains regular and special schedules for the center.
Coordinates specific activities and events for the center and arranges for auxiliary services.
Orders and maintains inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.
Assists in the development and preparation of a Progress Report about the center.
