Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent is required.
  • One year of collection or financial industry experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with default and enforcement clauses is required.
  • A basic understanding of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code is required.
  • Understanding of applicable repossession laws is required.
  • Understanding of real estate collection is required.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • The ability to work accurately and thoroughly is required.
  • The ability to work both with a team and independently is required.
Responsibilities
  • Call, text, and email borrowers with past-due loans to obtain payment or arrange payment plans.
  • Discuss and potentially offer financial arrangements to members with delinquent accounts.
  • Examine potential financial arrangement options for members with delinquent accounts to alleviate past-due status.
  • Maintain a current and detailed understanding of past-due consumer loan and mortgage loan products.
  • Use skip-tracing methods to locate members without viable contact information.
  • Stay up to date on collection policies and best practices.
  • Adhere to collection laws and regulations to maintain proper policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
