Requirements
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the first day of the internship.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States and must have completed at least one year of law school before applying.

  • Applicants must submit a legal memorandum as a writing sample, a cover letter, and three professional references, including one from a law school professor.
Responsibilities
  • Attend mandatory onboarding and offboarding sessions.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Draft legal memoranda.
  • Organize events.
  • Assist the Civic Engagement and Voter Protection team with managing the year-round Voter Assistance Hotline.
  • Develop explanatory resources, voting-rights advocacy materials, and voter-education trainings.
  • Support volunteer efforts.
