Requirements
  • A minimum of one required license or certification applicable to the work location and assignment, such as a Montana State Boilers License, Environmental Protection Agency certification, Certified Pool/Spa Operators License, or automated external defibrillator certification within 90 days of hire.
  • A current driver's license is required for the driver portion of the position.
  • The driving record for the previous 36 months must not include major driving offenses, including driving under the influence, a felony involving a motor vehicle, a suspended license, or three or more speeding tickets or other moving violations.
  • Personal vehicles used for Logan Health business must meet state-law minimum liability coverage limits.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of machinery, equipment, and tools used for facility and grounds maintenance and repairs.
  • Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions established by regulators, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, National Fire Protection Association, Environmental Protection Agency, and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
  • Ability to understand and interpret construction blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Organizational, detail-oriented, critical-thinking, prioritization, and independent-work abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn other software as needed.
  • Regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, complete repairs, and resolve routine maintenance problems within regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, boiler, lighting, carpentry, flooring, vehicle, life-safety equipment, laundry equipment, and pool/spa maintenance and repairs as applicable to the assigned area.
  • Perform pest management duties and pesticide applications as needed.
  • Safely and efficiently operate, secure, service, store, and clean assigned vehicles, machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Use time, products, and materials efficiently and assist with controlling material and labor costs for the assigned area.
  • Assume repair and maintenance assignments with minimal immediate supervision.
  • Coordinate projects with outside contractors and vendors as applicable to the assigned area.
  • Assemble furniture and assist with relocating offices and staff throughout the assigned area.
  • Assist with snow removal around assigned facilities and outbuildings.
  • Perform flooring installation, minor carpentry, framing, wall sheetrock installation, door installation, patching, painting, and hanging miscellaneous items as applicable to the assigned area.
  • Continue education to stay current with new technology, equipment changes, retrofits, and applicable codes.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in general maintenance, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical employment.
  • Proven ability in skilled trades related to facility and grounds maintenance, repairs, procedures, and techniques.
  • Experience with maintenance management software and smartphones.

Conrad native Kadie Baney returns to the hi-line to provide behavioral healthcare. Last updated Sep 22, 2026 3:1pm Logan Health is pleased to welcome Social Worker Licensure Candidate Kadie Baney, SWLC, MSW, to its primary care team. Baney specializes in behavioral health and is now accepting new patients at Logan Health Rural Health Clinics in Conrad and Cut Bank. A Conrad native, Baney earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and sociology, with a minor in criminology, from Carroll College before completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Montana. Baney provides therapy for children, adolescents and adults facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem issues and relationship challenges. Her person-centered, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach focuses on creating a welcoming, collaborative environment where clients feel safe, supported and empowered to achieve their goals. "The best part of my work is getting to know my clients and helping them recognize their strengths," Baney said. "I look forward to celebrating their successes, supporting them through difficult moments and being someone they can trust throughout their therapeutic journey." Baney is passionate about improving access to trauma-informed care in rural and underserved communities. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Montana's outdoors, drinking coffee, helping on her family's ranch and farm, and recently taking up golf. The event recognizes 988 Day, a national awareness day for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the importance of mental health support. Free coffee will be provided courtesy of the Toole County Health Department, and attendees are invited to join in a brief moment of silence at 9:08 a.m. to honor the lives lost to suicide and those affected by mental health challenges. Logan Health Shelby receives Cardiac Recognition Award. Logan Health Shelby was recognized recently with the Cardiac Recognition Award, which is sponsored by the Cardiovascular Health Program within the state health department. The Recognition Award singles out critical access hospitals who demonstrate that they have the infrastructure and commitment to provide high quality care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, which includes heart attack. Receiving the Cardiac Recognition confirms Logan Health Shelby has met high standards related to the utilization of evidence-based cardiac order-sets and protocols, provides laboratory services 24/7, has a well thought out transfer protocol and has administrative commitment to treating heart attack patients. This is the 14th year that the Cardiac Recognition Award was presented, and Logan Health Shelby is one of 20 Critical Access Hospitals to qualify for the award. Requirements for the recognition include tracking and reporting key cardiac outcomes, using outcomes data to initiate quality improvement activities and coordinating regular healthcare provider cardiac trainings. Heart disease is a leading cause of death in both Montana and the United States. Last year, over 3,000 Montanans died from the impact of heart disease.
