- Assist the Facility Manager with maintaining and updating equipment manuals, including equipment pictures, equipment lists, operating procedures, and troubleshooting information.
- Assist the Facility Manager with maintaining and updating instrument manuals, including pictures and instrument tray lists.
- Maintain adequate stock of sutures, custom packs, implants, trephines, and other seldom-used items, and advise the Facility Manager when supplies are low.
- Unpack and store supplies as needed, date and initial packing slips, and provide them to the Facility Manager.
- Assist circulating registered nurses with restocking operating-room cabinets and storage after each day’s cases, and report low stock levels to the Facility Manager.
- Assist the Facility Manager with monthly supply checks for expired items and advise when supplies are approaching expiration.
- Maintain labels on instrument cabinets and shelves so staff can return instruments to their proper locations.
- Maintain operating rooms, instrument rooms, and sterilizer rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
- Maintain the facility’s OSHA chemical list and Safety Data Sheet manual.
