Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field is preferred; three years of equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Two to five years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, used in the analysis of financial data.
  • General knowledge of accounting-related information systems.
  • Experience with Dealertrack.
Responsibilities
  • Assist senior-level accounting personnel in preparing basic monthly financial statements on an accrual basis using generally accepted accounting principles and other appropriate guidelines.
  • Prepare monthly standard journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Review designated functional areas and prepare and post necessary month-end journal entries.
  • Prepare account reconciliations with supporting documentation; research and follow up on differences from expected balances.
  • Assist with creating and preparing routine analytical projects and reports, back-end reporting, financial data, and similar reports for analysis.
  • Assist and communicate with various departments regarding monthly accounting reports and other accounting-related documents and information, and explain accounting department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records, files, and supporting documentation for regulatory or other reporting purposes, including annual audit and tax return preparation.
