Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business or Public Administration, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience as a business analyst or closely related experience analyzing information technology organizations and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining computer information systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of methods and techniques used to analyze and evaluate business operations.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Knowledge of programming concepts and the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Fluent language skills and written communication ability.
  • Analytical ability to interpret business processes and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to create workable solutions to business problems.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between developers and users, clients and companies, and management and information technology.
Responsibilities
  • Identify problems, needs, and opportunities for improvement to help the organization achieve its goals.
  • Work with project stakeholders and business personnel to communicate the business vision for projects and map initial requirements and project scope.
  • Model and design new systems that implement organizational goals.
  • Distill differing stakeholder messages and needs into a consistent vision that developers can understand.
  • Explain developer tasks, including communicating schedules and estimates.
  • Implement new business processes, improve the efficiency and productivity of existing processes, and reduce operating costs.
  • Analyze data, documents, user input surveys, and workflows to determine the course of action that will correct a business problem.
