Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, or a related discipline, or a related degree with relevant experience.
  • 5-10 years of work history within the defense, electronics, or related electromechanical manufacturing industry.
  • 5 years of experience in an AS9100 environment.
  • 3 years of experience as a Certified Quality Engineer, auditor, or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence of a Quality Management System.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with team members, management, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of metrology and measurement devices, along with training experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards, along with training experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires United States citizenship.
Responsibilities
  • Own the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Approve compliance with quality-related customer purchase order requirements, specifications, and flow-downs.
  • Ensure quality resources are available according to customer orders and requirements.
  • Own the creation of Quality Inspection Plans and the effectiveness of inspection processes.
  • Own the condition, calibration, and inventory of inspection equipment.
  • Lead the Material Review Board, ensure root causes are identified, implement long-term corrective actions, and validate their effectiveness.
  • Create the internal and external audit calendar, lead audits, ensure rapid responses to findings or observations, and own corrective-action follow-up, validation, and closure.
  • Lead supplier qualification and supplier corrective actions, and assist with monitoring supplier performance.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for quality-related concerns, discrepancies, corrective actions, audits, and quality performance reviews.
  • Perform the annual customer survey and evaluate response data.
  • Supervise and develop Quality personnel by participating in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Analyze quality data and trends, including return-material-authorization activity, supplier performance, and key performance indicators/metrics, and present data, identified trends, and corrective actions at the quarterly management meeting.

SPX Technologies (NYSE:SPXC) has agreed to acquire Kranze Technology Solutions (KTS) for approximately $350 million in cash. KTS, based in Illinois, specializes in digital interoperability and tactical networking, with strong ties to the US Marine Corps.
