Requirements
  • Experience using the Linux command-line interface and Linux tools.
  • Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes.
  • Recent software development experience using Python and Java.
  • Experience using Apache Airflow, including directed acyclic graph design, scheduling, operators, and sensors, to orchestrate, schedule, and monitor complex workflows.
  • Experience using distributed big-data processing engines, including Apache Spark.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, containerd, and Podman.
  • Experience using Git source control.
  • At least five years of experience as a Software Engineer, with multiple positions and levels or years of experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or substitute years of experience.
  • A Top Secret clearance and Counterintelligence and Lifestyle polygraphs are required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain data workflows and automation pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Build reliable, scalable, and observable workflow orchestration solutions supporting data engineering, analytics, and operational use cases.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and stakeholders to ensure workflows are efficient, secure, and production-ready.
  • Develop and support systems involving high-performance computing analytics, novel algorithm development, extremely large datasets, real-time systems, business management information systems, data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services cloud services and infrastructure.
