The position will have the primary purpose of supporting the Diesel and Gas engine product quality activities to support prime product (Machine/Genset/OEM/Dealers) customers and factory. Respond to customer with solutions which is guided by Cross Functional Team by conducting investigations, analyses for engine quality problems. Get feedback from external customers once the engine quality problem is resolved.
This person reports to a Dept Quality Manager and works with supervisors, technicians, and other support groups. Impacts key quality goals including Customer support, addressing field issues, CPI, Continuous Improvement, Process Quality, Part Quality, etc.

(UI) - Caterpillar Inc. has appointed Chief Operating Officer Joseph E. Creed as its next CEO, effective May 1, succeeding Chairman and CEO D. James Umpleby III.
Caterpillar recently launched the industry's first commercial 789D unmanned sprinkler truck, bringing a new solution for dust control in open-pit mines.
Creed was promoted to CFO for Caterpillar's Energy & Transportation business segment in 2013, then to vice president of Caterpillar's Finance Services Division in 2017.
Caterpillar appoints Joe Creed as CEO starting May 1.
Umpleby will be replaced as CEO by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Joe Creed, a 28-year Caterpillar veteran.
