Requirements
  • 10-12 years of industrial mechanical piping design experience.
  • Experience providing engineering support for processing plants, compressor stations, and oil and gas projects, with recent pipe design experience preferred for the ideal candidate.
  • Working knowledge of CADWorx and/or Autodesk 3D.
  • Working knowledge of ASME and API codes.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for one-third to two-thirds of the scheduled work shift.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, walk upstairs, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, work with hands and fingers, and periodically carry between 5 and 15 pounds during the work shift.
  • Ability to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, compute, evaluate, and compile materials during the work shift.
Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the Lead Designer with piping, civil, and mechanical drafting requirements.
  • Assist in generating piping plans and isometrics.
  • Produce plot plans, piping plans, isometrics, equipment drawings, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Design 3D computer-aided design models.
  • Use CADWorx Plant, Equipment, and P&ID tools.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with others in a team environment to accomplish objectives.
  • Observe construction progress outdoors by walking or driving to or on construction sites over rough or uneven terrain when required.
