- An undergraduate college degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another discipline related to the project, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible web development experience, including at least 3 years performing web design duties.
- Experience developing secure-access web pages.
- Experience developing search and results pages.
- Experience designing and developing administrative portals that can access and edit large amounts of data.
- Experience configuring web pages to support web analytics.
- Experience planning, conducting, assigning, and monitoring visualization development efforts iteratively, including working with business partners to review prototypes and develop iterative revisions.
- Experience translating business requirements into UX design artifacts.
- Experience with agile development methodology and related tools.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Design, develop, and maintain public-facing and administrative portals using user experience design best practices and industry standards.
- Develop storyboards for each portal page and obtain product-owner approval before developing web pages.
- Ensure the design look and feel conforms to Department of Labor web standards and styles and uses the Department of Labor's Drupal theming.
- Ensure portals conform to Section 508 requirements.
- Promptly mitigate identified security vulnerabilities under the role's control.
