About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Senior Flight Test Engineer to join our Test & Evaluation team based in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate has a passion for Flight Test, expertise testing autonomous systems, and the ability to manage complex programs with cross-functional teams. This team is a diverse group of individuals spanning multiple engineering disciplines. You can expect to spend 30-50% of your time at our test site in Hollister, CA.

What You’ll Do:

Perform flight test planning, test readiness reviews, act as test director during test execution and perform post flight data analysis
Drive initiatives to improve and expand flight test capabilities
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior members of the team
Partner with engineering teams to drive test requirements

What You’ll Need:

B.S. in an engineering field or equivalent on the job learning experience
5-10 years experience as a Flight Test Engineer
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
Comfort with fast-paced and austere environments with an appetite for innovation

Bonus:

5+ years experience in flight testing Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (sUAS)
Proficiency in one or more of the following (Python, MATLAB, SQL, Bash, Protobufs)
