Requirements
- Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a commercial plumber.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- A strong understanding of plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including underground, water supply, drainage, and waste disposal systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine plumbing-system layouts and required materials.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to specifications using hand and power tools.
- Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and industrial appliances.
- Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pumps.
- Inspect plumbing systems for defects, leaks, and potential hazards, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Use ProPress equipment proficiently.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
