About the job
- At least 4 years of recent networking experience.
- One or more of the following Cisco certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems effectively and efficiently.
- Knowledge of current Cisco and Microsoft networking systems.
- Knowledge of phone and Voice over Internet Protocol systems.
- Advanced knowledge of system hardware.
- Advanced knowledge of network troubleshooting.
- Professional customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work in an environment offering 24x7x365 support.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and hold a valid driver's license.
- Provide third-level network support to clients by handling service requests escalated by lower support tiers.
- Develop solutions for complex networking issues.
- Analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements.
- Develop, maintain, and implement systems, applications, and networking configurations virtually and on hardware.
- Establish the networking environment by designing system configurations, directing system installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.
- Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.
- Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
