Requirements
- Completed vocational training or a completed degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a comparable technical field with an IT focus; alternatively, a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
- At least four years of relevant experience in a comparable position.
- Practical experience as a CDB developer and/or CDB administrator.
- Knowledge and practical experience in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Python.
- Good knowledge of Oracle database administration, configuration, and performance optimization.
- Technical knowledge of and ideally practical experience with CIM Database / CONTACT Elements.
- Experience with development processes and methods in the automotive environment.
- Experience in scripting, configuration, and administration of PLM systems.
- Good Linux knowledge in administrative and development-related contexts.
- Basic knowledge of adjacent systems connected to the PLM system through interfaces, particularly CATIA and SAP.
- Basic knowledge of relevant integration and interface technologies, such as SAP BAPI, web services, and REST APIs.
- Very good spoken and written English.
- Able to communicate effectively in an international work environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate functional requirements from development departments, taking technical and process-related constraints into account.
- Translate functional requirements into technical concepts, specifications, and practical solution descriptions for internal software development.
- Advise departments from an IT perspective on defined PLM-related sub-processes and selected modules within CIM Database / CONTACT Elements.
- Design, configure, and technically implement PLM adaptations in close collaboration with internal developers.
- Contribute to developing, enhancing, and integrating modules and interfaces to automate and optimize business processes.
- Implement software-related requirements through configuration and programmatic adaptations, focusing on Python and CDB-related customization.
- Analyze, address, and sustainably resolve technical incidents and system anomalies in CIM Database.
- Support installation- and operations-related tasks where required for implementing solutions.
