<p><u><b>Job Description</b></u></p><p></p><h1><span class="emphasis"><b>TEAM LEAD – 2nd Shift - Hegins Plant</b></span></h1><h1><span class="emphasis"><b>Shift:</b>  2nd Shift with 4 X 10; Mon-Thurs from 2:30pm - 1:00am; OT as needed</span></h1><h1><span class="emphasis">Pay Rate: Starting at $23.75 plus $1.50 shift differential!</span></h1><br /><p>MI Windows and Doors is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. </p><br /><p>Description</p><p>The general purpose of this position is to assist the team lead and to take over the team lead’s duties in the absence of the supervisor.</p><ul><li>Review daily production needs and organize any hot orders</li><li>Review attendance and fill in for absent team members</li><li>Start morning stretches and 5-minute meeting in absence of Supervisor and Team Lead.</li><li>Walk through the line and respond to any problems with the start-up, notify management, if necessary</li><li>Contact material handlers or stockroom for any needed material/supplies/parts</li><li>Check production flow, make any adjustments if needed</li><li>Perform morning break quality audits and samples for QA to perform break test</li><li>Check samples and monitor production of all sample units</li><li>Check to make sure repairs are ordered and daily production/parts are complete and ship trucks are clear</li><li>Monitor team member safety and surrounding environment</li><li>At end of shift make sure all machinery & lights are turned off</li><li>Assist with training of new team members</li><li>When the supervisor is absent the Team Lead steps into the supervisor role and the Area Lead steps into the Team Lead role</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Other duties assigned</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>High school diploma, GED certificate</li><li>Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience</li><li>Must be at least an area lead to apply</li><li>Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications</li><li>Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies in accordance with Company guidelines</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing</li><li>Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department</li></ul><p>#MITERhegins</p><p></p><p><u><b>What We Offer</b></u></p><p></p><p>At MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
