Requirements
  • A Bachelor degree in Physical Rehabilitation, Occupational Rehabilitation, and/or Speech Language Pathology, or an Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant program; Physical Therapist Assistants in California are excluded.
  • Proficiency with computer systems including Net Health and PointClickCare.
  • Ability to read technical procedures and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
  • A current license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, and/or Speech-Language Therapist, as applicable.
  • Compliance with continuing education requirements under applicable state practices.
  • Maintenance of a license in good standing with the state board.
  • CPR certification when required by licensure.
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently, sit occasionally, and perform occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to reach, push, pull, lift, and manipulate residents, objects, and equipment, including loads that may exceed 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly.
  • Effective talking and hearing abilities for interaction with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to perceive and respond to tactile, auditory, visual, and other environmental cues for safe resident care.
  • Ability to assist, support, and transport residents in accordance with safe resident-handling practices.
  • Ability to travel by car and/or plane as necessary to reach assigned destinations within a reasonable time frame.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department for assigned facilities.
  • Deliver and coordinate direct and indirect rehabilitation services to inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Directly supervise and guide licensed, registered, and certified therapists, assistants, aides, and students.
  • Interview and recommend candidates for hire, firing, and training and development of rehabilitation staff.
  • Implement new programs to meet the clinical and operational needs of the facility and its residents.
  • Exercise the administrative authority and accountability required to oversee clinical and operational delivery of rehabilitative services.
  • Schedule department staff daily to meet facility needs.
  • Provide direct care and work with the supervisor to determine an appropriate caseload alongside management responsibilities.
  • Ensure residents' rehabilitation needs are met.
  • Periodically review and update rehabilitation services to meet changing conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards governing rehabilitation services.
  • Ensure clinical documentation is complete, timely, and accurately reflects services provided.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of department documentation.
  • Participate in department denials-management activities to ensure claims and appeals are timely and comply with company procedures.
  • Manage department productivity standards established with the supervisor.
  • Ensure services are high quality and meet standards of practice.
  • Monitor treatment programs for outcomes and adjust plans of care accordingly.
  • Ensure the department follows facility and company policies and procedures.
  • Approve timecards and time worked by department personnel.
  • Provide input and observations to the supervisor to support staff performance evaluations.
  • Foster positive working relationships with facility teams and referral sources.
  • Attend and participate in facility and company meetings as agreed with the facility and approved by the supervisor.
  • Provide staff in-service training on safe work practices, body mechanics, safety, and judgment to minimize work-related injuries.
  • Organize rehabilitation orientation for new department personnel and ensure onboarding paperwork is completed and distributed to the appropriate human resources personnel.
  • Complete billing documentation accurately and on time in accordance with company standards.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve the company and its services.
  • Identify areas for personal development, training, and continuing education with the supervisor.
  • Identify new business sources and contacts.
  • Promote a positive attitude among staff and within the community regarding the company, its mission, philosophies, and goals.

PACS Group beats Q1 estimates with $0.50 EPS and $1.42B revenue despite 12.5% year-to-date stock decline

PACS Group acquires Alaska care facility, plans 150-bed skilled nursing centre by 2028

PACS Group has acquired Ridgeway Senior Living, a post-acute care facility in Anchorage, Alaska, marking its fourth property in the state. PACS Group appoints Carey Hendrickson as chief financial officer

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS operates over 320 post-acute care and senior living facilities across 17 states, serving more than 31,700 patients daily.

PACS Group co-founder and CFO Mark Hancock to retire after growing company from 2 facilities to $5.29B revenue

PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. Hancock guided PACS through its successful initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in April 2024 and served as interim CFO from September 2025. He will be succeeded by Carey P. Hendrickson, who was appointed CFO on 27 April 2026.

PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion. From 2011 to 2017, Dr Conway served as deputy administrator for innovation and quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he also held roles as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and chief medical officer.
