Job Overview
The Harbinger battery team is looking to add a mechanical design engineer to join the development of our in-house designed battery. This key team member will work closely with other engineers to design and develop the components and systems within the battery pack.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and release mechanical components and systems within the HV battery pack
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of your components within the vehicle
- Manage and collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality parts
- Design and develop validation and inspection procedures alongside the testing team
- Successfully launch and sustain production components
Who You Are:
- Mechanical engineer (or related) with experience designing HV batteries or electrical assemblies in the transportation/passenger car industry
- Technical knowledge of HV batteries, including electrical, thermal, fluid, structural and safety functions
- Knowledgeable regarding quality control methodologies
- Experienced with CAD (CATIA preferred); skilled with robust and efficient modeling techniques
- Experienced with product launch
- Capable of working well in fast-paced environment
