About the job

Requirements
  • Experience as a technical product manager owning APIs, a developer platform, or integration products end to end, including the interfaces, platform, and developers who use them.
  • Experience putting one consistent API over multiple products or backend systems, including shared resource models, consistent IDs, and consistent data and behavior across sources.
  • Strong understanding of REST and event-driven API design, idempotency, pagination, rate limiting, backward compatibility, and the tradeoffs each choice creates for reliability, latency, and developer effort; ability to read an API specification and call endpoints.
  • Deep knowledge of API security, including OAuth, scoped permissions, tenant isolation, audit logging, and least privilege.
  • Hands-on experience building with MCP or LLM tool calling, and understanding of agent-specific risks such as prompt injection and over-permissioned tools.
  • A record of driving adoption of shared standards across teams the candidate does not manage.
  • Ability to produce clear product and technical documents that enable teams to decide and build.
  • Ability to prototype and test integrations using modern tools, including AI.
  • Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States and able to work a hybrid schedule in the Seattle, Washington office.
  • Must reside in one of the listed eligible states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
Responsibilities
  • Own the API layer that provides one consistent way to reach tenants, units, leases, and payments across Storable products.
  • Define the shared resource model with engineering and product teams, including common entities, IDs, and behavior across products.
  • Own Storable's MCP server and ensure it is secure from day one, including authenticated access, scoped permissions, tenant isolation, audit trails, and protections against misuse, using the same identity and business logic as the APIs.
  • Set standards for every Storable interface, covering authentication and permissions, errors, versioning, pagination, rate limits, documentation, and deprecation; product teams, including Data & Analytics and AI Agents, decide their API responses and agent behavior, while this role owns interface behavior.
  • Decide which products and capabilities are added to the platform first, based on the needs of operators, partners, and Storable's agents.
  • Make the platform work for builders ranging from a single operator's script to large portfolios and partners, with appropriate scopes and limits for each level.
  • Measure platform coverage across products, reliability, latency, security incidents, and time to a first working integration.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with API gateways, API management, or identity platforms.
  • Experience building integrations between vertical SaaS products and third-party systems customers already use.
  • Experience testing how well AI agents use interfaces, including whether they select the right tool and call it correctly.

Storable named Best Management Software in the 2026 ISS Best of Business Awards. July 15, 2026 Some wins are worth celebrating twice. Storable has just been named Best Management Software in the 2026 Inside Self-Storage Best of Business Awards, and if you're running Sitelink, that award is yours too. Sitelink is Storable's management software, and the platform every one of its R6 Automate customers relies on every day to run their sites. It's not a judged award. It's a reader-choice poll, meaning self-storage operators across the industry voted Sitelink and Storable's other tools to the top of their categories. Storable also picked up Best Online Directory and Best Payment Services this year. That's a clean sweep which speaks to how deeply their tools are trusted across the operator community, not just in software. At R6 Automate, beyond offering automation solutions, every day Self Storage Startup help operators get the most out of Sitelink, from setup and configuration through to day-to-day support, so the platform's power actually shows up in your bottom line. When the software its customers run on is recognised as the best in the industry, it's a direct reflection of the outcomes Self Storage Startup is helping deliver together. So congratulations to the Storable team, and thank you to every operator who voted. If you're already running Sitelink with R6 Automate, you're on award-winning software backed by local support. And if you're not yet, take this as your sign to have a chat with the team today.
